Embedding Media (Video, Figma, GitHub)

Sometimes text isn’t enough. The Documentation theme fully supports embedded media to make your documentation more interactive and engaging.

🎥 Embedding Videos

• YouTube / Vimeo:
  1. Simply paste the video URL into the editor.
  2. WordPress automatically converts it into an embedded player.
• Self-Hosted Videos:
  1. Use the Video Block.
  2. Upload your video or select from the media library.

🎨 Embedding Figma Files

Showcase live design prototypes:

1. Copy the Figma file share URL.
2. Use the Embed Block or Figma-specific block (if installed).
3. Paste the URL — it will auto-render inside the page.

Tip: Make sure Figma permissions are set to “Anyone with the link can view.”

💻 Embedding GitHub Repositories

For technical documentation:

• Paste a GitHub repo link directly into the editor for a neat preview.
• Or embed specific files and gists using the GitHub Gist Block (plugin or manual embed).
